Fun in the Sun

I spent the weekend in Palm Springs. Well, actually it was Palm Desert. It was soooo hot (115 degrees) but a fun time. Last summer I went to a boutique hotel, The Viceroy, which I blogged about here, this summer our fun was at the J.W. Marriott. Very nice but quite the little party oasis.

Of course I wore a big floppy hat (Diane's Beachwear) and sunnies.

To combat the heat, I had a mojito. I love the rock candy on a stick!

Night Time Fun:

At night we had a great dinner at a teppan style restuarant. Veggies and tofu for me. The chef makes your food in front of you, with a little flair. If you look closly you can see the onion volcano on fire.

Vegas Baby!

Saturday was the big birthday! We decided to celebrate in style, so last minute, we packed our bags and headed to Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. We were pretty lucky during the trip. Although we didn't win any money gambling (well, I only played $20 on the slot machines so how much could I really win), we did get a complimentary upgrade to a suite on the penthouse level! Awe, they must have known it was my birthday ;p Our suite was so big and gorgeous with a great view. What a way to start out the night! PH has lot's of shopping available. So we checked out Bebe and found some sexy dresses to wear out. After we got all dolled up, we went to Koi for dinner and danced the night away at Prive. Thanks girls for making my birthday so fun!
