So it's finally supposed to be a nice weekend here in the OC. No rain! Woohoo! I can't wait to enjoy the warm sunny weather. I will proabably go for a bike ride on the boardwalk and watch some surfers.

Oh La La

Remember when I was looking for a headboard for the spare room here? I recently found a beautiful one! Although, I really wanted to have a pretty color like pink or blue, I opted for a cream tufted headboard with a satin material. I have fuchsia pink curtains and I thought a colored headboard would compete with them. After weeks of searching for just the perfect one, I found it at Target of all places. Hey, I'm a budget babe ;) I have to say, it looks very elegant and expensive. Score!

What do you think of the headboard?

I am thinking of painting this room. I have a white desk with bright turquoise chair seen here. And the duvet cover is light aqua/torquoise (it's hard to see that in this picture). I want to keep the room looking light, airy with just a few splashes of brightness. So I was thinking of a white or a very light color like aqua? Any suggestions?

Kitchen Makeover

My boyfriend and I are repainting the bathroom and kitchen. We finally got a new floor in the bathroom and we are waiting to get a new wood floor and counter tops for the kitchen -please land lord hurry! Right now the kitchen is just cream. It's kinda boring and plain. I moved into my boyfriend's place awhile back and have been trying to make it cute ever since. It looks so "bachelor". Ugh! Once I make it pretty, I'll post a photo of it.

I love a room that's bright and airy. I am thinking of light color for the walls, probably blue and painting the cabinets white. The below photos are my inspiration.

V Day Hangover

So my Valentine's Day was sweet: flowers, cupcakes and dinner. My honey bought me beautiful fuchsia pink roses from a local shop. They make me so happy every time I look at them.

I bought him some Sprinkles cupcakes. My favorite ;)

I personalized it with a little love decorations. And yes the Sprinkles sticker is perforated. I just couldn't help myself, I had to take a taste before I got them home ;)

Will You Be My Valentine?

I am so in LOVE with Robert Indiana's Love sculpture in Philadelphia, at Love park. How fitting for the city of brotherly love. Did you know that this sculpture was on loan for many years until a potential New York buyer was interested (they must have offered some big bucks because the city tried to buy it severly times but was turned down). The peeps in Phili were in an uproar when they heard the news. Because they loved it so much, Eugene Dixon, a businessman and chairman of the Phili Art Commision bought it and brought it back. I wonder how much that cost. Interesting story....well, I am glad it's around for the public's viewing. If I ever go to Phili, this will be my first stop.

Me and my boy toy ;)......okay, well maybe not boy toy more like serious relationship boyfriend for many (many ;p) years.

I love V day, but I definatley think its more about the person you love rather than gifts (well, maybe a small gift). So if you have a signifcant other, tell them how much you care and seal it with a kiss!

In lieu of the big V day coming up, I was browsing for some hot and sexy (or at least pretty) make up looks. My favorite look is the smokey eye/pale lip (preferably glossy). I'm addicted to light colored lip gloss. I'm sure I have over 50 tubes of gloss, pretty much all shades of pink.

This look is sexy but still natural. And we know how guys love that ;)

I love the electric blue shimmer on the eye.
