Every birthday I like to set some new goals for myself. I like to write in a journal about what I would like to accomplish and do. One of my presents this year from my Mom was a journal from the Skinny Bitch series called Skinny Bitchin' by Rory Freedom and Kim Barnouin. This book is about how to be proactive about making your life better and being happy. It touches on every aspect of life from work to relationships, to just being a better you. Their other Skinny Bitch books are about health, vegetarianism and veg recipes (which I love because I'm a vegetarian). The authors are very straight forward and tell it like it is, without sugar coating it. They are very funny though. Tough love with humor!
Sorry if it's hard to read. This is the best I could get it to look. Below are some of the quotes in the book that I found very inspirational. The first quote is my favorite and so insightful."How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I'm committed to." -Tony Robbins
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." -Confucious
"Sooner or later, those that win are those who think they can." -Richard Bach
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." - Eleanor Roosevelt
"People say that your're going the wrong way when it's simply a way of your own." -Angelina Jolie
I also really like to write in nice well made journals. I love these handmade journals by art kitten on etsy. Aren't they cute?

Love that fun skirt.

Wow, look at that view.
I think Jay's a hottie. Or maybe it's just his Australian accent. Anyone on board with me?

Risa May on her etsy shop has some really great prints and photos that are perfect for the occasion. The original photo was taken by Steve Jurvetson.

Saturday was the big birthday! We decided to celebrate in style, so last minute, we packed our bags and headed to Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. We were pretty lucky during the trip. Although we didn't win any money gambling (well, I only played $20 on the slot machines so how much could I really win), we did get a complimentary upgrade to a suite on the penthouse level! Awe, they must have known it was my birthday ;p Our suite was so big and gorgeous with a great view. What a way to start out the night! PH has lot's of shopping available. So we checked out Bebe and found some sexy dresses to wear out. After we got all dolled up, we went to Koi for dinner and danced the night away at Prive. Thanks girls for making my birthday so fun!
