When I read on MSN.com last week that Ralph Lauren terminated model Phillipa Hamilton's contract for being too big, I couldn't help but be surprised.
Really??
This model is 5'10" and 120 lbs.
I know that models need to be thin and fit in the designer's samples but how skinny must they be? She looks great to me. Gorgeous of course and so perfect for the RL brand.
The team at Ralph Lauren thinks this weight looks better.
photos above via msnReally??
I personally like thinness as well but this is anorexic thin. Ummm... not attractive.
Do you think that anorexic skinny is more appealing and makes the clothes look better?
hmmmmm not much to say to that exceot there stupid! x
ReplyDeleteI was in shock!! It is so bluntly obvious how photoshopped that photo is and I found out somewhere else that this is actually the second time this has happened.. She is so tiny as is and then to make her look like she has an eating disorder is such a horrible message to young girls..
ReplyDeleteWoa heavens forbid that girl ate once in a while. That sucks for that model. Yeesh. Anorexic thin i think is ridicolous in magazines because come on. 1% of the population is anorexic thin so okay how will the other people look in the clothes? Even just the thin people? I think they've gone a lil too far.
ReplyDeleteI heard about this too...it's icky
ReplyDeleteThis is disturbing. I'm glad they brought it out in the open.
ReplyDeleteWow, do they need to freaking get it together. Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteThis whole thing blew my mind. It's just wrong.
ReplyDeletei read about this too! looks too disproportionate
ReplyDeleteYou´re so right. Incidents like these makes people convinced of their inferiority if they don´t fit in the runway sized clothes. It makes me sad. When will this madness end?
ReplyDeleteAnd I can´t believe that´s real RL ad. First I thought it was a anti-fashion-anorexic ad.
ReplyDeleteI think she looks disgusting in the ad..
